5 short task sites_

So you want to dip your big toe into the work at home world, but not make the big leap just yet. There are a few good task sites that will allow you to get your feet wet and bring in some extra cash. These task sites will not take up much of your time during the day as you can do them whenever you have a spare moment and can be completely done online. These are especially great when you have to tend to other things also without feeling tied down. I will admit that these short task jobs will not pay very well, however, the amount that you do make will add up if you keep working them.

What is a short task job?

A short task job is a type of assignment that can be completed in a short time frame. Usually these tasks are surveys, watching a video, editing, transcription, writing and other tasks. Here are 5 different short task sites that you can try out.

Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk, or mTurk for short, has become one of the most popular ways to earn money by doing short tasks. These tasks are called HITS (Human Intelligence Tasks) and once you have completed a task, the requester will approve or reject the work. If approved, then the money you earned is deposited into your Amazon account. You are able to request a payout once you have earned $1 and you can have the money sent as a direct deposit to your bank or as an Amazon gift card. Tasks can range from data entry, taking surveys to doing transcription. I will say that money can be made mostly with transcripiton if you have the skills to listen and type at the same time.

Microworkers

You are able to do article writing, social media sharing, searches and other tasks. If the task is done correctly, the requester will have 1 to 7 days to approve and your earnings will be placed into your account. Once you have earned a minimum of $9, you are then able to request a payout. A pin number will be sent to you via mail (usually takes about 3 weeks to receive) and your earnings can be deposited into Skrill(Moneybookers), Paypal or Dwolla. Payments are sent twice a week. I work on this myself when I can during the week and do the searches mostly.

Clickworkers

This site hires people worldwide to complete tasks such as researching, translating, data processing and writing. Payments are made weekly through Paypal when you have earned a minimum of $1. Assessment tests are also provided for you to take in order to qualify for appropriate tasks and assess your personal abilities.

Field Agent

If you have an iPhone, then you can use this app to find many small taks to do around your area. These can include filling out a survey or taking a picture of an item in a retail store. These tasks can pay between $3 and $12 each and your earnings can be sent to your Paypal or Dwolla account.

Fiverr

Fiverr is a bit different from the ones that are listed above. For this, you would offer to do a certain task for $5 and people will choose your service if it is what they are looking for These tasks, or gigs, can range from creating a logo, singing a jingle, editing, the list goes on. Payments are made via Paypal within 48 hours.

Hopefully these short task jobs will help you get started to bring in some extra cash from home. As a side note, these tasks are posted by individuals and usually not the people that created the sites. If you feel uncomfortable in doing a certain task, you are not obligated to continue with that task and can move on to a different one that you feel comfortable with.
